Capability is rarely the constraint. These six are.

- Whether the work is defined well enough to be specified. An undocumented process cannot be tested.
- 03Workflow shape
- Whether there is repeatable volume, and how consequential a single error is — which decides how much human review the design needs.
- 04Technology
- Whether your core systems can be integrated with, and whether your data policy permits what you are considering.
- 05Team readiness
- Whether a named person will own the result. This is the most common reason working automation quietly falls out of use.
- 06Use-case clarity
- Whether there is a measurable outcome, or an ambition looking for a project to attach itself to.

About this assessment
What does a low score actually mean?
That building now would probably produce something impressive that nobody uses. It is not a verdict on your business — it usually points at two specific, fixable gaps, most often data access or internal ownership. Both are cheap to close compared with the cost of a failed AI programme, and both pay off whether or not you end up using AI.
Why is a high-stakes process scored lower?
Not because AI is inappropriate for it. High-consequence work needs review steps, confidence thresholds and audit trails, which lengthens the path to production. The score reflects readiness to deploy quickly, not suitability.
Are all six dimensions weighted equally?
In the score, yes — that keeps it transparent. In practice, data access and internal ownership decide outcomes more often than the other four, which is why the recommendations focus on your two weakest dimensions rather than on the headline number.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. The assessment runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never transmitted to us, and the result disappears when you close the tab.
We already use AI tools. Is this still relevant?
Usually more so. Individual use of AI assistants is a different question from putting AI inside a business process, where the requirements are integration, evaluation, error handling and ownership. Many organisations with high individual adoption score poorly here, and that gap is precisely the interesting finding.
